  2. Born and raised in St Thomas, Jamaica, Reggae sing-J artist/ producer, Willy-P Aka Dwane Everton Williams, recognised his love for music when he found himself in the yard in his home town seaforth, St Thomas, knocking on old paint pans causing a nuisance with his noise. This was the point of discovery for Dwane, from this point on he knew his passion was to produce new sounds.

Growing up in a Christian family meant that Dwane most definately had to join the church choir. This was at the behest of his mother of course. He started djing Outside of church hours with friends at just the tender age of 8. Inspired by lyrical battles performed in the early 90's on sting, Jamaica's most famous annual stage show, Dwane was determined to be like Shabba Ranks, beenie man, bounty Killa , lieutenant stichie and papa San.

After completing his service in the British Armed forces Dwane continued to reside in England. In 2006 he joined forces with his older brother and they built "Hardway Records". Dwane then became focused on building rhythms and recording not only himself but also other artists. He also accumulated mixing and mastering tracks to his long list of talents.

Dwane's first live performance was featuring alongside a band at Peterborough's broadway Theatre. It was the ending act of the night, the audience cheered with the thrill of excitement and screamed for an encore.
This experience gave Dwane added enthusiasm to continue perusing his music career.

In 2007 Dwane came together with his cousin and his older brother and formed The band "Hardway Family" in which He sing-js along side 4 other singers. The bands first big performance was at Peterborough city's annual festival where they received a tremendous response and a guaranteed spot every year.

For the foreseeable future Willy-P is concentrating on taking his musical ability to a higher level by perfecting his skills as a sing-j/dj/producer. He has had endless amount of practice performing live with the band and recording, mixing and mastering his fellow band members and other new artists.
